Independent Living
Orchard View offers the choice of either an independent lifestyle or the assisted living accommodation. The choice is yours, depending on your needs and circumstances. REGULAR APARTMENTS
There are (30) one and (2) two bedroom apartments available complete with balconies, all at affordable rates. You have the freedom to decorate with your own furniture and personal effects. Some rent-geared-to-income subsidies are available, if eligible.
Between the hours of 8:00am and 8:00pm, staff from the Supportive Housing office located within Orchard View are available to provide some assistance. See the section under "Supportive Housing" for details on services available and who is eligible. Some of these services are free while others are available on a "fee for service" basis. A tenant may purchase meals at any time from the adjacent Home.
Monthly fees include: all utilities including heat, hydro, and water; and ample parking.
CARE SUITES
Care Suites are designed for seniors who enjoy their independence but need some help and assistance. Each care suite consists of a furnished single room with efficiency kitchenettes for light meal preparation, 4-piece baths and private balconies. With no housework and main meal preparation to worry about, there is ample opportunity to enjoy leisure time and socialize with friends. Assistance is available for bathing and supervision of medications. Accommodation rates are affordable. Subsidies are available, if eligible.
Monthly fees include: weekly housekeeping and linen service; appetizing and nutritious noon meals with supper meals available for a nominal fee; and access to the Supportive Housing activity program.
